VMM-164, the Knightriders, fly the MV-22B Osprey out of MCAS Camp Pendleton, California, under MAG-39 and the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. The Knightriders have a legacy stretching back through decades of Marine rotary-wing aviation, transitioning to the Osprey and maintaining the assault support mission that gets Marines to the fight. Deploying on MEU rotations and major exercises, VMM-164 provides the tiltrotor lift that I MEF ground forces count on for rapid insertion and extraction. This leather patch brings the Knightriders insignia to the classic flight jacket format — antique finish, made in the USA, and worn with West Coast pride.
