Headquarters Regiment, 3rd Marine Logistics Group is the command and control element for the Marine Corps' forward-deployed logistics force in the Indo-Pacific. Based on Okinawa, Japan, 3rd MLG provides combat logistics support to III Marine Expeditionary Force — everything from supply chain management and transportation to maintenance, engineering, and health services. When III MEF operates across the Western Pacific, it's 3rd MLG that ensures the ammunition flows, the vehicles run, the equipment gets repaired, and the wounded get treated. HQ Regiment provides the regimental-level command structure that coordinates these logistics operations across multiple subordinate battalions and units. This patch represents the Marines who make the logistics machine work.
