Training Air Wing Six's Fleet Introduction Team Unit was responsible for the operational introduction of the T-6A Texan II into the Navy training command. The FITU developed the training syllabus, standardized procedures, and qualified the initial cadre of instructor pilots who would train the next generation of Naval Aviators in the new platform.
