Official HSM-72.2 Los Diablos DDG 96 Det Patches — The Devil's Own Detachment
When HSM-72 sends a det aboard a destroyer, they don't just bring a helo — they bring hell.
HSM-72 "Proud Warriors" is a U.S. Navy Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron flying the MH-60R Seahawk out of NAS Jacksonville, Florida, assigned to Carrier Air Wing One. The "Los Diablos" designation belongs to Det 2, which deployed aboard USS Bainbridge (DDG-96), an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer. As a det, these sailors operated their MH-60R in anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, search and rescue, and ISR missions — all from the small deck of a destroyer in some of the most contested waters on the planet. This patch represents the unique identity that detachments forge when they're operating independently, far from the carrier and the rest of the squadron. Los Diablos earned their name.
Perfect For: HSM-72 Proud Warriors aircrew and maintainers, USS Bainbridge (DDG-96) sailors, MH-60R Seahawk community, destroyer-based helo detachments, NAS Jacksonville squadrons, and anyone who has lived the small-deck life.
HSM-72.2 Los Diablos — devilish on the destroyer, deadly on the dip.
