HMH-462 operates the CH-53E Super Stallion, conducting heavy-lift operations day and night in all weather conditions. The glow feature on this PVC patch is both a fun collector's feature and a nod to the Screw Crew's night operations capability. CH-53 night missions are among the most challenging in Marine aviation, with crews wearing NVGs while hauling massive external loads in complete darkness.
