Officially Licensed US Navy Carrier Strike Group 1 (CSG-1) vinyl sticker.
San Diego flagship — USS Carl Vinson, CVW-2, DESRON 1. Vinson Battle Group lineage.
Carrier Strike Group 1 (CSG-1) is one of the U.S. Navy's Pacific Fleet carrier strike groups, formally established on October 1, 2009 in San Diego. The strike group is built around USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) as flagship, with Carrier Air Wing 2 (CVW-2), Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Princeton (CG-59), and Destroyer Squadron 1 (DESRON 1) — the latter typically including Arleigh Burke-class destroyers like USS Hopper, USS Kidd, USS Sterett, and USS William P. Lawrence. CSG-1's lineage traces back to Carrier Division 1 (CarDiv 1), first organized in October 1930 as the U.S. Navy's first seagoing naval aviation formation, which originally included USS Langley — the Navy's first aircraft carrier — and other early pioneering vessels. The current CSG-1's first mission was a transit around South America in spring 2010 as USS Carl Vinson relocated to her new San Diego homeport, and the strike group has since participated in Operation Inherent Resolve, the 2010 Haiti earthquake humanitarian response, and continuous Indo-Pacific Free and Open patrols and exercises with allied nations. This officially licensed vinyl sticker carries the CSG-1 colors. Outdoor-grade vinyl, sharp edge cut.
Perfect For: CSG-1 staff and embarked Sailors, USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) crew, CVW-2 carrier air wing aviators and aircrew, USS Princeton CG-59 Sailors, DESRON 1 destroyermen, Naval Base San Diego personnel, Pacific Fleet strike group operators, and Vinson Battle Group / Carrier Division 1 heritage collectors.
