The Adversary Force Company (DRAGO) of Headquarters Battalion, 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, provides realistic opposing force (OPFOR) training for the division's infantry and combat units. DRAGO Marines study enemy tactics, wear OPFOR uniforms, and employ adversary techniques to create the most realistic training scenarios possible. Their role is essential to combat readiness — Marines who train against a thinking, adaptive enemy develop the tactical skills and mental toughness necessary to prevail in actual combat. DRAGO's job is to make training harder so that combat is easier.
