USMC 3rd Raider Battalion Patches — Embroidered Patch

3rd Marine Raider Battalion — MARSOC

From the jungles of Bougainville to the mountains of Afghanistan to the Radisson Blu hotel in Bamako, Mali — where a 3rd MRB Raider earned a Silver Star rescuing nearly 170 hostages from terrorists — 3rd Marine Raider Battalion carries a legacy that spans eight decades of special operations excellence.

3rd Marine Raider Battalion (3rd MRB) is a special operations force of the United States Marine Corps and a subordinate combat component of MARSOC. Based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, the battalion was formed in April 2009 when the Marine Special Operations Advisor Group was redesignated as the Marine Special Operations Regiment, with MSOAG's operational Marines forming the core of the new 3rd Marine Special Operations Battalion. The battalion was officially redesignated 3rd Marine Raider Battalion on 19 June 2015. 3rd MRB is aligned to U.S. Africa Command, conducting operations across the African continent. The battalion's WWII namesake — Liversedge's 3rd Raider Battalion — was formed in Samoa in September 1942 and fought in the Solomon Islands, earning a Medal of Honor recipient in PFC Henry Gurke on Bougainville. Today's 3rd MRB carries that same fighting spirit into the 21st century's most complex and austere operating environments.

Perfect For: 3rd MRB Raiders, MARSOC personnel, AFRICOM-aligned SOF, Camp Lejeune special operators, and anyone who honors the legacy of Liversedge's Raiders.

3rd Marine Raider Battalion — from the Solomons to Africa, Raiders lead the way.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.

If the product is officially licensed, it will say “Officially Licensed” in the title and/or in the product details. If it doesn’t, it’s still a legitimate product—just not part of a licensed program.
