3.5" embroidered patch

US Army Alaska 172nd Infantry Patch

Forged in the frozen north — the 172nd stood watch where others wouldn't.

The 172nd Infantry Brigade (later redesignated as the 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team) was one of the U.S. Army's premier Arctic and cold-weather fighting forces, stationed at Fort Wainwright and Fort Richardson in Alaska. Tasked with defending America's northernmost frontier during the Cold War and beyond, the 172nd trained and operated in some of the most extreme conditions on earth — temperatures plunging far below zero, whiteout blizzards, and vast wilderness terrain that tested every soldier's endurance. The brigade deployed to Iraq and other theaters, proving that soldiers hardened by Alaska could fight anywhere. This patch represents the soldiers who served in the Last Frontier, standing guard against threats from across the Arctic.

Perfect For:
172nd Infantry Brigade veterans, US Army Alaska personnel, Arctic warfare soldiers, Cold War-era Army veterans, and collectors of Army brigade combat team insignia.

Trained in the cold, ready for anything.
