Officially Licensed USMC MWSS-272 Untouchables Patch — Building Airfields, Breaking Records
Because Marine aviation doesn't fly without the Untouchables laying the runway first.
MWSS-272, the Untouchables, is a Marine Wing Support Squadron based at MCAS New River, North Carolina, under the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. Activated on June 6, 1986, their mission is to provide all essential aviation ground support — refueling, airfield construction, crash recovery, firefighting, EOD, and everything else that keeps aircraft flying from dirt, steel matting, and willpower. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, MWSS-272 built FOB Joe Foss — the largest expeditionary airfield constructed since World War II — providing critical air assault and medevac support during the invasion. They've deployed repeatedly to Iraq and Afghanistan, building and operating airfields across Helmand Province and Al Anbar. No runway, no mission. That's the Untouchable guarantee.
Perfect For: MWSS-272 Untouchables past and present, 2nd MAW aviation ground support Marines, expeditionary airfield engineers, and anyone who knows that the most important thing on any airfield is the team that built it.
No field too rough. No mission too big. Untouchable.
