The 1st Force Service Support Group (1st FSSG) was the principal logistics combat element of I Marine Expeditionary Force, responsible for providing supply, maintenance, transportation, engineering, medical, and dental support to Marine forces operating across the Pacific and beyond. Based at Camp Pendleton, California, and operating under Fleet Marine Force Pacific (FMF-PAC), the 1st FSSG deployed in support of every major Marine operation from the Gulf War through Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. The group was later redesignated as 1st Marine Logistics Group (1st MLG), but the FSSG designation holds deep significance for the Marines who served under it. This officially licensed sticker honors the logistics Marines who made every Marine operation possible.
