The 6th Engineer Support Battalion (6th ESB) is a United States Marine Corps Reserve combat engineer unit assigned to 4th Marine Logistics Group (4th MLG) under Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES), based in Portland, Oregon. This patch represents the Reserve engineer Marines whose motto "We Are Ready" reflects their commitment to being prepared for activation and deployment at a moment's notice.

6th ESB provides engineer support including construction, demolition, route clearance, bridging, utilities, and general engineering to Fleet Marine Force operations. The battalion's Reserve Marines bring a unique advantage to the engineer mission — many serve in construction, engineering, and skilled trades in their civilian careers, bringing real-world expertise to the military engineer mission. When activated, 6th ESB's Marines can build roads, construct fighting positions, install utilities, breach obstacles, and provide the engineering support that enables Marine ground forces to move, fight, and sustain themselves in any environment. The FMF designation connects 6th ESB to the Fleet Marine Force tradition of direct support to operating forces.
