Combat Logistics Battalion 5 is a subordinate unit of Combat Logistics Regiment 1 and the 1st Marine Logistics Group, based at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. CLB-5 provides direct support tactical logistics to Regimental Combat Team 5 beyond its organic capabilities — transportation, intermediate-level supply, field-level maintenance, and general engineering. In plain English: they make sure the grunts have bullets, beans, and band-aids when it matters most. From the deserts of Iraq to training exercises across the Pacific, CLB-5 has proven that logistics isn't glamorous, but it's absolutely the reason Marines can keep fighting.
