Officially Licensed 13th MEU Service Support Group SSG Patch — USMC Marine Expeditionary Unit Combat Logistics Embroidered Patch

No MEU moves without its supply chain. If you kept the Fighting 13th fed, fueled, and fixed, this patch belongs to you.

MEU Service Support Group 13 (MSSG-13) was activated on February 1, 1985, at Camp Pendleton, California, as the combat service support element of the newly formed 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Though formally stood up in the mid-1980s, MSSG-13's lineage runs deep — its predecessor Marines and Sailors from 1st Landing Support Battalion, 1st Supply Battalion, 1st Maintenance Battalion, and 1st Medical Battalion fought with distinction from Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima through Inchon, the Chosin Reservoir, and Vietnam. With fewer than 300 Marines and Sailors, MSSG-13 deployed alongside the "Fighting 13th" on every major operation the MEU undertook — from Desert Shield and Desert Storm in 1990–91, to the coast of Somalia for Operation United Shield in 1995, to the recovery of USS Cole in Aden, Yemen, in 2000, to East Timor for humanitarian assistance that same year. When the 13th MEU surged early for Operation Enduring Freedom in December 2001, MSSG-13 was right there providing the supply, maintenance, transportation, engineering, medical, and landing support that kept the MAGTF in the fight. Redesignated as Combat Logistics Battalion 13 (CLB-13) in May 2006, the unit continued to serve as the logistics combat element of the 13th MEU through deployments to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and into the modern era. From beach landings to desert FARPs, the SSG Marines of the 13th MEU have always been the ones who made sure the grunts had what they needed to fight.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.
