Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines (3/1), the Thundering Third, is a rifle company within one of the Marine Corps' most decorated and combat-tested infantry battalions. Based at MCB Camp Pendleton, California, 3/1 is part of the 1st Marine Division and has fought in every major conflict since World War II. The battalion earned its "Balls of the Corps" nickname for its legendary toughness and fighting spirit. Lima Company carries that tradition forward as a frontline infantry unit trained to conduct amphibious operations, urban warfare, and expeditionary combat across the full spectrum of military operations.
