Officially Licensed 7th Motor Transport Battalion Patch — Keeping the Reserve Logistics Pipeline Flowing
When the call comes, the 7th Motor T Marines leave their civilian jobs, climb into the trucks, and drive into the fight.
The 7th Motor Transport Battalion (7th Motor T) is a United States Marine Corps Reserve logistics unit responsible for providing motor transport support to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. As a reserve battalion under the 4th Marine Logistics Group, 7th Motor T maintains combat readiness through drilling reservists and mobilization in support of active-duty operations. Motor transport battalions operate the tactical vehicles that move everything the MAGTF needs — ammunition, fuel, food, water, repair parts, and personnel — executing convoy operations, line haul missions, local distribution, and direct support logistics across the battlefield. The Marines of 7th Motor T operate the 7-ton Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR), and other tactical vehicles, maintaining proficiency in convoy operations, vehicle recovery, and the combat logistics skills that sustain Marine operations in austere and hostile environments. Reserve motor transport Marines have been mobilized for every major contingency since Desert Storm, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan where convoy operations placed them on some of the most dangerous roads in the world. IED attacks, ambushes, and indirect fire turned every supply run into a combat patrol, and reserve Motor T Marines proved that when mobilized, they perform at the same level as their active-duty counterparts. The Motor T community is bound by long hours, harsh conditions, and the knowledge that without them, the Marines at the tip of the spear don't have what they need to fight. This patch represents the 7th Motor Transport Battalion and the reserve Marines who answer the call.
Perfect For: 7th Motor Transport Battalion Marines past and present, Marine motor transport operators and vehicle mechanics, 4th Marine Logistics Group reservists, combat logistics community members, and anyone who has served in a reserve motor transport unit.
