Colombian Marines Patch — Embroidered Patch
Infantería de Marina — Colombia's River and Coastal Warriors
From the Caribbean coast to the Pacific shore, from the river systems of the Amazon basin to the jungles of the Darién Gap, the Colombian Infantería de Marina operates in one of the most diverse and demanding operational environments of any marine force in the world. This patch represents a naval infantry corps that has been at the forefront of Colombia's decades-long struggle against narco-trafficking and armed insurgency.
The Colombian Marine Corps — Infantería de Marina de la República de Colombia — is one of the largest marine forces in Latin America, with approximately 34,000 personnel. Colombian Marines specialize in riverine warfare, conducting counter-narcotics and counter-insurgency operations along Colombia's vast inland waterway network, as well as coastal and amphibious operations on both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. Colombian Marines have fought against FARC guerrillas, ELN insurgents, and drug trafficking organizations in some of the most remote and inhospitable terrain in South America. The force maintains a close training relationship with the U.S. Marine Corps and regularly participates in multinational exercises.
Perfect For: Colombian Marine veterans, USMC personnel who have trained with Colombian counterparts, Latin American military enthusiasts, and collectors of international military insignia.
