USMC 3rd Bn 9th Marines 3/9 — Embroidered Patch

3rd Battalion, 9th Marines — 3/9

3/9 carries the 9th Marines' fighting legacy — a regiment that has been activated and deactivated more times than most, but never fails to answer when the Corps calls. Every time the colors are uncased, 3/9 picks up right where they left off.

3rd Battalion, 9th Marines served as part of the 9th Marine Regiment, one of the Marine Corps' most decorated infantry regiments. The 9th Marines' combat record spans from World War II through Afghanistan, with 3/9 contributing to the regiment's distinguished service at Bougainville, Guam, and Iwo Jima in WWII. In Vietnam, the 9th Marines operated in the most dangerous territory in I Corps, including the area south of the DMZ known as "Leatherneck Square." The regiment participated in Operation Dewey Canyon and earned multiple Presidential Unit Citations. After post-Vietnam deactivation and reactivation cycles, 3/9 was brought back to support the Global War on Terrorism, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan before being deactivated again as part of post-war drawdowns. The 9th Marines' tradition of fighting hard and coming back stronger lives on in every Marine who wore the 3/9 patch.

Perfect For:
3/9 Marines past and present, 9th Marines regiment veterans, 3rd MARDIV and 2nd MARDIV veterans, Vietnam and GWOT veterans, and anyone who carries the 9th Marines' fighting spirit.

3rd Battalion, 9th Marines — always ready to answer the call.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.

If the product is officially licensed, it will say “Officially Licensed” in the title and/or in the product details. If it doesn’t, it’s still a legitimate product—just not part of a licensed program.
