USMC 3rd Battalion 6th Marines Teufelhunden Patch — Embroidered Patch

Teufelhunden — The Original Devil Dogs of 3/6

The Germans at Belleau Wood called them "Teufelhunden" — Devil Dogs — and 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines has carried that name as a badge of honor for over a century. This patch connects every generation of 3/6 Marines to the warriors who earned the most feared nickname in Marine Corps history.

3rd Battalion, 6th Marines is based at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, as part of the 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division. Activated on 14 August 1917 at Quantico, Virginia, 3/6 deployed to France within months and fought in the Aisne-Marne, Saint-Mihiel, and Meuse-Argonne campaigns — including the legendary Battle of Belleau Wood where the Devil Dog name was born. In World War II, 3/6 fought at Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, Tinian, and Okinawa. During the Cold War, the battalion landed in Lebanon in 1958 and stood ready during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In 2005-2006, 3/6 deployed to Iraq's Al Anbar Province, conducting Operations Ironfist and Steel Curtain to clear insurgent strongholds. In 2010, the battalion deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Moshtarak, securing the northern approaches to Marjah in Helmand Province. The Teufelhunden tradition is over a century old — and still going strong.

Perfect For:
3/6 Marines past and present, 6th Marines regiment personnel, 2nd MARDIV veterans, Camp Lejeune Marines, Belleau Wood historians, Devil Dog heritage enthusiasts, and anyone who carries the Teufelhunden legacy.

Teufelhunden — Devil Dogs since 1917.

Size is shown on the product page and updates with the variant you select (example: 3"). If you’re mounting on a hat or small panel, choose smaller sizes; for plate carriers and display boards, larger sizes fit better.
