USMC 2nd Battalion 4th Marines Magnificent Bastards Patch — Embroidered Patch

The Magnificent Bastards — 2/4

There's no nickname in the Marine Corps quite like "Magnificent Bastards." 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines earned it through the kind of audacious, aggressive combat that makes the enemy fear what's coming next. This patch represents one of the Marine Corps' most legendary infantry battalions.

2/4 is based at Camp Pendleton as part of the 1st Marine Division and carries the 4th Marines' China Marines lineage. The "Magnificent Bastards" nickname was forged in Vietnam during the brutal fighting around Dai Do in 1968, where the battalion fought through multiple fortified villages against numerically superior North Vietnamese forces in some of the war's most savage close combat. The battalion has continued to earn its reputation through deployments to Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In Iraq, 2/4 was heavily engaged in Ramadi and other Al Anbar province operations, conducting urban counterinsurgency warfare that demanded the same aggressive spirit that defined the battalion at Dai Do.

Perfect For:
2/4 Marines past and present, Dai Do and Vietnam veterans, Ramadi and Iraq veterans, 4th Marines regiment personnel, 1st MARDIV Marines, and anyone who knows that being called a Magnificent Bastard is the highest compliment a Marine battalion can receive.

Magnificent Bastards — earning the name since Dai Do.
