1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta Force Patch

The unit that doesn't exist — but always gets the job done.

1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (1st SFOD-D), commonly known as Delta Force or The Unit, is the U.S. Army's premier counter-terrorism and direct action special mission unit. Founded in 1977 by Colonel Charles Beckwith, Delta Force was modeled after the British Special Air Service (SAS) and is part of the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Delta operators are among the most highly trained and secretive soldiers in the U.S. military, conducting hostage rescue, counter-terrorism, and high-value target operations around the world. While the Department of Defense rarely acknowledges the unit's existence or operations, its reputation as one of the world's elite special operations forces is well established.

Perfect For:
Special operations community members, JSOC supporters, military special forces enthusiasts, counter-terrorism professionals, and collectors of elite unit insignia.

The quiet professionals who write history in silence.
