USMC Force Logistics Support Group Bravo Patch — Embroidered Patch
FLSG Bravo — Force Logistics Support Group Bravo
When FLSG Alpha stood down and the 3rd Marine Division left Vietnam, it was FLSG Bravo that absorbed the mission and kept the logistics flowing for every Marine still in-country. This patch honors the logistics Marines who sustained the fight through the drawdown — the unsung professionals who made sure the last Marines out had everything they needed.
Force Logistics Support Group Bravo (FLSG-B) was a major subordinate command of Force Logistics Command during the Vietnam War, providing direct logistic support to the operating forces of III Marine Amphibious Force in the Da Nang area. FLSG-B operated from March 1966 through the end of Marine operations in Vietnam, sustaining infantry regiments with Logistic Support Units at forward bases including Hill 55, An Hoa, and LZ Baldy. Each LSU drew rations, fuel, and ammunition from Force Logistics Command for distribution to the infantry battalions of the 1st, 5th, and 7th Marines. When the 3rd Marine Division redeployed and FLSG-Alpha was deactivated in November 1969, FLSG-Bravo moved to Da Nang and assumed control of the 1st Service Battalion, consolidating all forward logistics under a single group for the final phase of the war.
Perfect For: FLSG-Bravo veterans, Force Logistics Command personnel, 1st Marine Division support Marines, Vietnam drawdown veterans, and anyone who knows that logistics wins wars.
Last to leave. First to sustain. FLSG Bravo.
