Official HSM-72 Proud Warrior Command Flag Patch — The Chief's Colors
When the Proud Warriors fly the command flag, you know the boss is in the house.
HSM-72 "Proud Warriors" is a United States Navy Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron flying the MH-60R Seahawk out of NAS Jacksonville, Florida. Part of Carrier Air Wing 1, the Proud Warriors deploy aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75), providing anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, search and rescue, and communications relay capabilities to the carrier strike group. Originally established as HSL-42 in 1984 and redesignated HSM-72 in January 2013 at NAS Jacksonville, the squadron has deployed extensively — including recent combat operations in the Red Sea against Houthi forces. During one deployment alone, HSM-72 maintained 24-hour coverage across 65,000 miles of transit and logged over 6,500 flight hours. This command flag patch represents the leadership and authority of the Proud Warriors — a squadron that takes the fight wherever the fleet goes.
Perfect For: HSM-72 Proud Warriors aircrew and sailors, MH-60R Seahawk community, CVW-1 personnel, USS Harry S. Truman crew, NAS Jacksonville squadrons, and anyone who served with the Proud Warriors.
