Officially Licensed Training Wing TW-4 Coin — Where Wings Are Earned

Because that first solo at Corpus Christi hits different when you know thousands came before you.

Training Air Wing Four, headquartered at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas, has been forging naval aviators since its establishment in March 1972. As one of five training air wings under the Chief of Naval Air Training, TW-4 oversees four squadrons — VT-27, VT-28, VT-31, and VT-35 — training roughly 400 new pilots per year in the T-6B Texan II and T-44C Pegasus. Surrounded on three sides by water and blessed with year-round flying weather, NAS Corpus Christi has been home to pilot training since 1941. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and allied nation student pilots all earn their wings here, making TW-4 one of the most critical commands in naval aviation. This coin honors that legacy of excellence.

Perfect For: TW-4 instructors and graduates, NAS Corpus Christi personnel, VT-27/28/31/35 alumni, student naval aviators, and anyone who remembers their first T-6 hop in the South Texas heat.

Every wing of gold started with a training wing. This is that wing.
