Official HT-18 Vigilant Eagles Coin — Helicopter Training Squadron 18 Challenge Coin
A coin that carries the weight of rotary-wing excellence.
Helicopter Training Squadron 18 (HT-18) "Vigilant Eagles" is a United States Navy helicopter training squadron based at Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Milton, Florida. This officially licensed challenge coin commemorates the Vigilant Eagles' proud legacy of training the Navy's next generation of helicopter pilots in the TH-57 Sea Ranger training helicopter as part of Training Air Wing Five (TW-5).
HT-18 has been instrumental in the rotary-wing training pipeline for decades, teaching student naval aviators the fundamentals and advanced techniques of helicopter flight. From basic hovering and autorotations to instrument flight and formation flying, HT-18 instructors guide students through the demanding curriculum that separates future helicopter pilots from the rest. The TH-57 Sea Ranger served as the Navy's primary helicopter trainer for an entire generation, and HT-18's Vigilant Eagles were among the most experienced instructors who flew it. This challenge coin captures the squadron's identity and serves as a lasting bond between all who have served as Vigilant Eagles.
Carry this coin and you carry the Vigilant Eagles tradition with you.
Perfect For: HT-18 Vigilant Eagles alumni, TH-57 Sea Ranger pilots, NAS Whiting Field personnel, helicopter training pipeline graduates, and military challenge coin collectors.
Vigilant and proud — HT-18 Eagles.
