Officially Licensed USMC MAG-12 Leather Patch — Marine Aircraft Group 12 Leather Patch
MAG-12 in leather — the Marine Aircraft Group based at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan, forward-deployed and ready to fight in the Indo-Pacific, now in premium leather.
Marine Aircraft Group 12 (MAG-12) is a USMC aircraft group based at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, as part of the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and III Marine Expeditionary Force. MAG-12 is the Marine Corps' forward-deployed fixed-wing aircraft group in the Western Pacific, commanding fighter attack, aerial refueling/transport, and logistics squadrons that provide the aviation combat element for operations across the Indo-Pacific region.
MAG-12's subordinate squadrons at Iwakuni include VMFA-121 (the Marine Corps' first operational F-35B Lightning II squadron), VMFA-242 Bats, VMGR-152, and MALS-12, among others. This concentration of tactical aviation capability at Iwakuni gives the Marine Corps a potent forward-deployed strike force within range of potential flashpoints on the Korean Peninsula, in the Taiwan Strait, and across the South China Sea. MAG-12's aircraft and crews are among the first Marine aviation assets that would respond to any Indo-Pacific contingency.
This leather patch presents MAG-12's insignia in a premium leather format, offering a distinctive and durable collectible that reflects the aircraft group's elite forward-deployed status.
Perfect For: MAG-12 members and veterans, MCAS Iwakuni personnel, 1st MAW community, III MEF Marines, forward-deployed Pacific Marines, and leather military patch collectors.
