Officially Licensed USMC Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Patches — Marine Corps ARFF Embroidered Patch
ARFF — first on the scene when it matters most.
Marine Corps Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) is one of the most critical and dangerous jobs in Marine aviation. ARFF Marines are the first responders who race to the scene when an aircraft emergency occurs on or near the airfield — crashes, fuel spills, in-flight emergencies, and structural fires that threaten aircraft, aircrew, and personnel. Equipped with specialized crash trucks, firefighting foam systems, and rescue equipment, ARFF Marines train relentlessly to respond in seconds to save lives.
ARFF Marines serve at every Marine Corps Air Station and forward-deployed expeditionary airfield, maintaining constant readiness to respond to aviation emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their training covers structural firefighting, hazardous materials response, vehicle extrication, emergency medical care, and the specialized techniques required to fight aircraft fires involving jet fuel, ordnance, and composite materials. ARFF is a critical MOS within Marine Wing Support Squadrons (MWSS) and base fire departments, and the Marines who serve in this role are among the bravest and most selfless in the Corps.
Perfect For: USMC ARFF Marines past and present, Marine aircraft rescue and firefighting specialists, MWSS fire rescue personnel, military firefighter patch collectors, MCAS fire department members, and anyone who respects the Marines who run toward burning aircraft.
ARFF first in — when aircraft burn, ARFF Marines respond.
