Officially Licensed US Navy Naval Air Station Meridian Sticker — Where Naval Aviators Earn Their Wings
NAS Meridian is where student naval aviators learn to fly jets. If you earned your wings here, you remember every flight.
Naval Air Station Meridian is a United States Navy installation located in Meridian, Mississippi, and serves as one of the Navy's primary jet pilot training bases. NAS Meridian is home to Training Air Wing One (TW-1) and the jet training squadrons that take student naval aviators from their first jet flight through the advanced strike and fighter pipeline that produces the carrier-qualified pilots who fly the fleet's tactical aircraft. Student aviators at Meridian fly the T-45C Goshawk — the Navy's intermediate and advanced jet trainer — learning the fundamentals of formation flying, instruments, aerobatics, air-to-air tactics, air-to-ground weapons delivery, and carrier qualification that will prepare them for fleet replacement squadrons and ultimately the cockpits of F/A-18 Hornets, F-35 Lightning IIs, EA-18G Growlers, and E-2 Hawkeyes. NAS Meridian's location in southern Mississippi provides excellent year-round flying weather and access to military training areas that support the high sortie rates required for jet training. For every naval aviator who went through the jet pipeline at Meridian, the base represents the place where they first strapped into a jet and began the journey toward earning their wings of gold. This sticker represents NAS Meridian and the training command that produces the Navy and Marine Corps' tactical aviators.
Perfect For: NAS Meridian personnel past and present, student naval aviators who trained at Meridian, T-45 Goshawk instructors and students, Training Air Wing One members, and anyone who earned their wings in Mississippi.
