Officially Licensed US Naval Air Station Patuxent River Sticker — Where Naval Aviation's Future Is Born
Every aircraft the Navy and Marine Corps fly was tested at Pax River first. If it launches off a carrier, it went through Pax.
Naval Air Station Patuxent River — universally known as 'Pax River' — is the United States Navy's premier research, development, test, and evaluation facility for naval aviation, located on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in southern Maryland. Pax River is home to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), the Naval Test Pilot School, and the test and evaluation squadrons that take every new aircraft, weapons system, sensor, and avionics suite from the drawing board through flight testing to fleet introduction. Every tactical aircraft in the Navy and Marine Corps inventory — from the F/A-18 Super Hornet and F-35 Lightning II to the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye and MQ-25 Stingray — was tested and certified at Pax River before reaching the fleet. The Naval Test Pilot School at Pax River trains the Navy's test pilots and flight test engineers — the aviators who fly experimental and developmental aircraft at the edge of the envelope to prove that new systems work before they reach the fleet. Pax River is where naval aviation's future is designed, built, tested, and validated. For the engineers, test pilots, scientists, and support personnel who work there, Pax River is the center of naval aviation innovation. This sticker represents the base that makes naval aviation possible.
Perfect For: NAS Patuxent River personnel past and present, Naval Test Pilot School graduates, NAWCAD engineers and scientists, test and evaluation squadron members, and anyone who has contributed to naval aviation's future at Pax River.
