Officially Licensed NAS Patuxent Pax River 2023 Patch — Where the Future Takes Flight
Because every aircraft in the Navy and Marine Corps inventory was tested at Pax River first.
Naval Air Station Patuxent River — Pax River — is the home of Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and the epicenter of naval aviation research, development, test, and evaluation. Located in southern Maryland along the Chesapeake Bay, Pax River is where every new aircraft, weapons system, and avionics suite gets pushed to its limits before the fleet ever sees it. From the F/A-18 to the F-35, the E-2D to the MQ-25, if it flies for the Navy or Marines, it was tested here. The base is also home to the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, where the best pilots and engineers in naval aviation learn to evaluate aircraft at the edge of their performance envelopes. This 2023 patch commemorates the base and its ongoing mission.
Perfect For: NAS Pax River personnel past and present, NAVAIR engineers and test pilots, Naval Test Pilot School graduates, and anyone connected to the development side of naval aviation.
Test it. Break it. Fix it. Fly it. Pax River.
