Officially Licensed 6th Motor Transport Battalion Patch — Moving Everything the Marine Corps Needs, Wherever It Needs to Go
No fuel, no ammo, no food, no fight. The 6th Motor T makes sure the supply lines never stop moving.
The 6th Motor Transport Battalion (6th Motor T) is a United States Marine Corps Reserve logistics unit responsible for providing motor transport support to the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. Motor transport battalions are the lifeblood of Marine Corps logistics — they operate the trucks, tactical vehicles, and heavy equipment that move ammunition, fuel, food, water, repair parts, and personnel from ship to shore and across the battlefield. Without motor transport, nothing else in the MAGTF moves. The Marines of 6th Motor T operate a fleet of tactical vehicles including the 7-ton Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR), the Logistics Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR), and various utility vehicles, executing convoy operations, line haul, local distribution, and direct support missions in training and in combat. As a reserve unit, 6th Motor Transport Battalion maintains combat readiness through weekend drills, annual training exercises, and mobilization deployments that integrate reserve motor transport Marines seamlessly with active-duty combat logistics operations. Motor transport Marines have deployed to every major conflict in Marine Corps history — from the island-hopping campaigns of World War II to the convoy routes of Iraq and Afghanistan, where they faced improvised explosive devices, ambushes, and the constant threat of attack on the supply lines that kept the fight going. The 'Motor T' community is one of the most tightly knit in the Marine Corps — united by long hours behind the wheel, harsh conditions, and the knowledge that without them, the Marines at the tip of the spear don't eat, don't shoot, and don't move. This patch represents the 6th Motor Transport Battalion and the Marines who keep the supply lines open.
Perfect For: 6th Motor Transport Battalion Marines past and present, Marine motor transport operators and mechanics, combat logistics community members, Marine Corps Reserve logistics units, and anyone who has driven a 7-ton through the dust, mud, or sand to keep the Marines in the fight supplied.
