Official NAS North Island (NASNI) NASCAR San Diego 2026 commemorative patch.
First NASCAR Cup race on an active military base — Coronado, June 19–21, 2026.
NAS North Island and Naval Base Coronado are hosting the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series race on an active military base — the NASCAR San Diego Weekend on June 19–21, 2026 — and this commemorative patch marks the moment. The event is also NASCAR's first-ever San Diego race and the second street circuit on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. The 16-turn, 3.4-mile course (the longest in NASCAR history) runs across the base's surface streets and onto sections of the active concrete flight line, and has been named the Qualcomm Circuit after Qualcomm Technologies became the Official Circuit Partner. The weekend will run all three NASCAR national series — Cup, Xfinity, and Craftsman Truck — with the marquee Cup race branded the Anduril 250 and streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The whole event is dedicated to the United States Navy's 250th Anniversary, and NASCAR drivers have been paired with local Naval Base Coronado units (NAS North Island, NAB Coronado, Naval Special Warfare Command, NAS Imperial Beach, NSA Monterey, etc.) through a draft lottery so each driver has a Navy command supporting them on race weekend. NASNI itself is the West Coast Quarterdeck — home of three aircraft carriers, 17 squadrons, and decades of carrier aviation history. This patch carries that historic 2026 weekend forward.
Perfect For: NAS North Island and Naval Base Coronado Sailors and Marines, Navy units paired with NASCAR drivers in the Coronado base draft, NASCAR fans, military motorsport enthusiasts, US Navy 250th Anniversary commemorative collectors, and Coronado / San Diego naval aviation community members.
