Official MWSS-472 Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Patch — USMC Marine Wing Support Squadron ARFF Embroidered Patch
When aircraft go down on the field — ARFF Marines are the first ones running toward the fire.
Marine Wing Support Squadron 472 (MWSS-472) provides expeditionary airfield services and support, and the Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) section is one of its most critical capabilities. ARFF Marines are trained to respond to aircraft crashes, fuel fires, and structural emergencies on the airfield, operating specialized crash rescue vehicles and firefighting equipment. MWSS-472 is a 4th Marine Aircraft Wing Reserve unit, meaning these ARFF Marines maintain their firefighting qualifications while serving in a Reserve capacity. When a Marine aircraft goes down on or near the runway, ARFF is the first response — the difference between a survivable incident and a catastrophe.
Perfect For:
MWSS-472 ARFF Marines, aircraft rescue and firefighting personnel across the Corps, Marine wing support squadron members, Reserve Marines, and USMC specialty patch collectors.
