Marine Wing Support Squadron 471 (MWSS-471), "Wing of the North," is a 4th Marine Aircraft Wing Reserve unit that provides expeditionary airfield services, including Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF). The Crash Crew section is the specialized team trained to respond to aircraft crashes, fuel fires, and on-field emergencies. These Reserve Marines maintain the same ARFF qualifications as their active duty counterparts, ready to respond to the worst-case scenarios on the flightline.
