MALS-49, the Magicians, is a Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron that provides intermediate-level maintenance and logistics support to keep Marine aircraft mission-ready. The CDI (Collateral Duty Inspector) qualification is one of the most critical roles in Marine aviation maintenance — CDI-qualified Marines are the last line of quality assurance before an aircraft goes back on the flightline. This PVC shoulder patch features the Magicians' evil bunny mascot with a glow-in-the-dark twist, because MALS-49 Marines work around the clock and the magic doesn't stop when the sun goes down. If you've earned your CDI qual with the Magicians, you know the weight of that signature on a MAF.
