Joint Interagency Task Force South JIATF South Patches — Hunting Narcos from Key West
Because somebody has to watch 42 million square miles of ocean for drug runners — and JIATF South does it every single day.
Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF-S) is a multiservice, multiagency task force based at Naval Air Station Key West, Florida, subordinate to U.S. Southern Command. JIATF South conducts counter-illicit trafficking operations across the Caribbean, Central America, and South America — using intelligence fusion, multi-sensor correlation, and international partnerships with over 20 nations to detect, monitor, and hand off suspected drug trafficking targets for interdiction. Established in 1989, JIATF South coordinates assets from the Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, DEA, FBI, CBP, and allied nations to stop the flow of cocaine, weapons, and cash before they reach U.S. shores. Their interdictions at sea account for nearly four times the cocaine seized by all domestic border enforcement efforts combined.
Perfect For: JIATF South staff and veterans from all services and agencies, U.S. Coast Guard counter-narcotics crews, Navy and Air Force personnel who've supported SOUTHCOM operations, and anyone who hunted drug runners from the best duty station in the military.
Detect. Monitor. Interdict. JIATF South.
