TH-73 Thrasher US Flag Patch — Leonardo TH-73A Thrasher Patriotic Embroidered Patch
The future of rotary-wing training — the TH-73A Thrasher under Old Glory.
The Leonardo TH-73A Thrasher is the United States Navy's next-generation helicopter trainer, replacing the venerable TH-57 Sea Ranger that served for four decades. First delivered to Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton, Florida, on August 6, 2021, the Thrasher is assigned to Training Air Wing Five and serves as the primary training aircraft for Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard rotary-wing and tiltrotor student naval aviators. Based on the commercial AW119Kx airframe, the TH-73A features a modern glass cockpit with digital avionics that mirrors what students will encounter in fleet aircraft, powered by a Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engine with dual safety and hydraulic systems. With 130 aircraft on order and projected to serve through 2050, the Thrasher represents a complete modernization of military helicopter training — and every rotary-wing Naval Aviator earning their Wings of Gold will pass through the TH-73A program. This patriotic American flag edition celebrates the Thrasher and its role in training the next generation of military helicopter pilots.
Perfect For: TH-73A Thrasher instructor pilots and student aviators, NAS Whiting Field personnel, Training Air Wing Five members, HT-8, HT-18, and HT-28 squadron personnel, and patriotic naval aviation patch collectors.
Thrasher strong — training tomorrow's aviators under the flag.
