It's one of the oldest and most respected traditions in the military, dating back to the age of wooden ships when the crew that built the vessel literally owned the planks they walked on. This PVC patch carries that tradition forward, marking the wearer as an original member who was there from the very beginning — before the traditions were established and before the legends were written.
