Officially Licensed US Navy VT-4 Warbucks Squadron Patch — Making NFOs Since 1960
You don't get Wings of Gold from a simulator. Actually, now you do.
Training Squadron Four (VT-4) "Warbucks" is one of the Navy's most storied training units, based at NAS Pensacola, Florida under Training Air Wing Six. Established on May 1, 1960, VT-4 has evolved through multiple missions and aircraft — from basic jet training in T-2 Buckeyes and advanced strike training in TA-4J Skyhawks, to E-2/C-2 pipeline carrier qualifications. Since its reactivation in 2013, VT-4 has become the Navy's only advanced Naval Flight Officer training squadron, using state-of-the-art Multi-Crew Simulators to prepare student NFOs for the E-2 Hawkeye, E-6 Mercury, EP-3 Aries, and P-8 Poseidon communities. Named after the famous comic strip character Daddy Warbucks, the squadron has amassed over 600,000 flight hours and produced generations of aviators and NFOs, including training pilots from allied nations like Kuwait, Spain, Singapore, and Indonesia. With over six decades of service, VT-4 remains a cornerstone of Naval aviation training.
Perfect For: VT-4 Warbucks alumni and instructors, student NFOs who earned their wings at Pensacola, Training Air Wing Six personnel, and anyone who started their aviation career in the Warbucks pipeline.
