Officially Licensed VMM-261 Raging Bulls Throwback Patch — Charging Forward Since '51
Seventy-plus years of putting Marines where they need to be, from the Solomons to Helmand Province.
Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 261 (VMM-261), the "Raging Bulls," is one of the Marine Corps' most battle-tested assault support squadrons. Commissioned in 1951 at MCAS Cherry Point, they cut their teeth hauling troops and supplies in the Korean War, flew over 11,000 combat hours in Vietnam, and charged into Desert Storm with the 2nd Marine Division. In 2009, they made history as part of the first MV-22 Osprey deployment to Afghanistan, supporting Operation Cobra's Anger. Operating out of MCAS New River under MAG-26, the Raging Bulls continue to provide the vertical lift that keeps the Marine Air-Ground Task Force in the fight. This throwback patch honors the squadron's classic insignia and decades of relentless service.
Perfect For: VMM-261 past and present Marines, MV-22 Osprey crews, 2nd MAW veterans, and throwback military patch collectors.
From Phrogs to Ospreys, the Raging Bulls have never stopped charging.
