Officially Licensed VAQ-131 Lancers Throwback VAH-4 Patch — From Skywarriors to Growlers

Before the Lancers jammed enemy radars in Growlers, Heavy Attack Squadron 4 was delivering nuclear payloads from the deck of a carrier in Skywarriors.

This throwback patch honors the heritage connection between Electronic Attack Squadron 131 (VAQ-131), the Lancers, and their predecessor lineage through Heavy Attack Squadron 4 (VAH-4). VAH-4 flew the massive A-3 Skywarrior — the largest aircraft to regularly operate from carrier decks — during the Cold War era of nuclear deterrence. Today, VAQ-131 carries the Lancer legacy forward from NAS Whidbey Island, flying the EA-18G Growler in the suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD) mission. This patch bridges generations of electronic warfare and heavy attack aviation, connecting the brute-force nuclear delivery of the Skywarrior era to the surgical electronic precision of modern Growler operations.

Perfect For: VAQ-131 Lancers alumni, VAH-4 veterans, A-3 Skywarrior enthusiasts, EA-18G Growler crews, and electronic warfare historians.

From heavy attack to electronic assault — the Lancers evolve.
