Officially Licensed US Navy VF-126 Fighting Sea Hawks Squadron Sticker - Fighter Squadron 126 (VF-126) Fighting Seahawks and Bandits, Pacific Fleet Adversary Squadron, officially licensed vinyl sticker.
Fighting Seahawks identity, Bandit energy, and Cold War adversary pride captured in a durable, officially licensed vinyl format built for collectors who know the difference between a training hop and a real fight.
Fighter Squadron 126 began its naval service on 6 April 1956 as Attack Squadron 126, a West Coast Fleet Replacement Squadron based at NAS Miramar, California. Redesignated VF-126 on 15 October 1965, the unit transitioned from fleet instrument training into the adversary mission, becoming the Navy's primary Pacific Fleet aggressor squadron. Flying the A-4 Skyhawk, F-5E Tiger II, T-2C Buckeye, and eventually the F-16N Viper, the squadron simulated Soviet fighter tactics and performance characteristics for Pacific Fleet fighter and attack crews, giving West Coast aviators the most realistic air-to-air combat training available outside of actual combat. Aircraft were often painted in Soviet-style camouflage to sharpen that realism. In 1981 the squadron adopted the Bandits nickname and a new insignia to reflect its full-time adversary identity, though the original Fighting Seahawks name remained part of its lineage. VF-126 worked alongside the Naval Fighter Weapons School at Miramar, and many of its instructors were Topgun graduates who brought graduate-level tactics back into the daily adversary syllabus. The squadron was disestablished on 1 April 1994 as part of post-Cold War force restructuring, leaving behind a 38-year record of sharpening Pacific Fleet readiness one engagement at a time.
Perfect for Navy aviation veterans, VF-126 alumni, NAS Miramar historians, adversary and aggressor community collectors, A-4 Skyhawk and F-5 Tiger II enthusiasts, Topgun-era memorabilia builders, shadow box displays, cruise book collections, flight bag panels, and anyone preserving the story of Cold War Pacific Fleet air combat training through officially licensed squadron insignia.
Fighting Seahawks and Bandits heritage, officially licensed and built to outlast the debrief.
