Officially Licensed US Navy Search and Rescue Paramedic Patch — Navy SAR Swimmer and Rescue Paramedic Embroidered Patch

So Others May Live — the Navy rescue paramedics who jump into the worst conditions to bring people home alive.

The US Navy Search and Rescue Paramedic patch represents one of the most demanding and selfless specialties in military service. Navy SAR paramedics and rescue swimmers are trained to deploy from helicopters into open ocean, rough seas, downed aircraft wreckage, and hostile environments to stabilize and recover survivors. These are the aircrew members who volunteer to leave the safety of the helicopter, enter the water, and physically bring casualties back to the aircraft — often in conditions that would overwhelm anyone without their level of training and composure.

Navy rescue swimmers and SAR paramedics undergo one of the most physically demanding training pipelines in the military, with attrition rates that rival special operations selection courses. Graduates must be expert swimmers, certified paramedics, and trained in helicopter operations, survival techniques, and rescue equipment deployment. They serve aboard Navy and Coast Guard helicopters, standing alert duty on carrier flight decks, at shore-based SAR stations, and aboard amphibious ships — ready to launch at a moment's notice when a pilot ejects, a sailor goes overboard, or a civilian needs rescue at sea. Their motto, "So Others May Live," defines everything they do.

Perfect For:
Navy rescue swimmers and SAR paramedics, helicopter SAR crews, aviation survival technicians, Navy and Coast Guard rescue personnel, and anyone who honors the rescue community.

So Others May Live. Navy SAR.
