Helicopter Training Squadron 28 (HT-28), the "Hellions," has transitioned from the venerable TH-57 Sea Ranger to the TH-73A Thrasher at NAS Whiting Field, Florida. This "Last of the Rangers" patch commemorates the final days of the TH-57 — the helicopter that trained generations of Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard rotary-wing pilots. The Sea Ranger era has ended, but the Hellions continue the mission with a new aircraft and the same standard of excellence.
