Officially Licensed US Navy E-2 Hawkeye Weapons School Patch — Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS/TOPDOME) E-2 Hawkeye Embroidered Patch
TOPDOME — the E-2 Hawkeye Weapons School, where the Navy's best airborne early warning professionals become the best of the best.
The Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS), also known as "TOPDOME" and the Hawkeye Weapons and Tactics Instructor (HEWTI) program, is the U.S. Navy's graduate-level tactical training program for E-2 Hawkeye aircrews. Modeled on the TOPGUN concept for fighter aviation, TOPDOME produces Hawkeye Weapons and Tactics Instructors who return to their fleet squadrons as subject matter experts in airborne early warning, battle management, and command and control.
The E-2 Hawkeye community operates the E-2C and E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, the Navy's carrier-based airborne early warning and battle management aircraft. TOPDOME graduates are trained to the highest level of proficiency in radar operations, air intercept control, strike coordination, electronic warfare, and the integration of all warfare areas from the Hawkeye's mission stations. These HEWTI graduates become the tactical leaders within their squadrons, training and mentoring fellow aircrews.
TOPDOME operates under the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC), alongside TOPGUN and other weapons schools, ensuring standardized excellence across all carrier air wing communities.
Perfect For: TOPDOME graduates and instructors, E-2 Hawkeye community, NAWDC personnel, Navy airborne early warning professionals, and Navy weapons school patch collectors.
