Officially Licensed US Navy Carrier Strike Group 10 (CSG-10) command patch.
Norfolk's flagship strike group — Destroyer Flotilla 2 lineage to George H.W. Bush CSG.
Carrier Strike Group 10 (CSG-10) is one of the U.S. Navy's Atlantic Fleet carrier strike groups, headquartered at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. The strike group's flagship is USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77), with Carrier Air Wing SEVEN (CVW-7) and Destroyer Squadron 26 typically embarked. CSG-10's lineage runs all the way back to Destroyer Flotilla 2, established during World War I at Naval Station Newport, Rhode Island. The flotilla was deactivated in 1922, reactivated in 1931, deactivated again in World War II, reactivated in 1946, renamed Cruiser Destroyer Group 2 in 1973, relocated to Charleston, South Carolina in 1974, and ultimately renamed Carrier Strike Group 10 in 2004 as part of the Navy's fleet reorganization that converted the carrier battle group construct to the modern strike group. Between 2004 and 2014, CSG-10 made four major deployments to the U.S. Fifth Fleet operating in the Persian Gulf and North Arabian Sea, with embarked carrier air wing aircraft flying over 10,800 air combat missions in support of coalition forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, plus anti-piracy and maritime security operations across the Horn of Africa. The strike group has historically operated USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) and now flies the colors with USS George H.W. Bush — the flagship Atlantic Fleet CSG with one of the deepest combat deployment résumés of any strike group in the Navy. This patch is the CSG-10 staff and embarked Sailor's calling card.
Perfect For: CSG-10 staff and embarked Sailors, USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) crew, CVW-7 carrier air wing aviators and aircrew, Destroyer Squadron 26 destroyermen, NAVSTA Norfolk personnel, Atlantic Fleet operators, and U.S. 5th Fleet GWOT veterans.
CSG-10 — Norfolk forward, Atlantic flagship, Bush and Ike legacy.
