Tactical Air Control Squadron 11 (TACRON-11), motto "Dirigimus" (We Direct), is a U.S. Navy air control unit that provides tactical air control party (TACP) and supporting arms coordination center (SACC) capabilities for amphibious operations. TACRON-11 controllers deploy aboard amphibious assault ships and ashore with Marine landing forces, directing naval aviation strikes, close air support, and naval gunfire in support of the ground combat element. The squadron traces its heritage to the amphibious air control mission that has been essential to every naval amphibious operation since World War II. This holiday-themed patch adds seasonal spirit to one of the Navy's most specialized aviation communities.
