During their 2023-2024 deployment aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Swamp Foxes made history — employing Hellfire missiles in combat for the first time to defend U.S. and coalition assets against Houthi forces in the Red Sea, directly engaging and sinking hostile small boats, and rescuing 26 mariners from enemy attacks.
