If you survived the gauntlet of primary flight training at NAS Pensacola with VT-10, you earned the right to call yourself a Wildcat. This "Welcome to the Jungle" patch captures the intensity, swagger, and camaraderie of one of Naval Aviation's most storied training squadrons.
VT-10, the Wildcats, operates out of NAS Pensacola as part of the Naval Air Training Command, training the next generation of Naval Aviators in the T-6B Texan II. The squadron takes raw student pilots and forges them into military aviators through a demanding curriculum of formation flying, instrument procedures, aerobatics, and emergency procedures. The "Welcome to the Jungle" motif captures the spirit of what every student pilot faces on day one — a high-stakes environment where only the most dedicated survive and thrive. The Wildcats have produced generations of combat aviators who went on to fly everything from Hornets and Super Hornets to Ospreys and Poseidons.
