Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 40 (VRC-40), the Rawhides, operate the C-2A Greyhound for carrier onboard delivery. Detachment 4, the Mambas, takes their snake identity to the extreme with this "Snakes on a Plane" PVC shoulder patch, combining aviation humor with the COD community's irreverent culture. VRC-40's Greyhounds ferry passengers, mail, and critical parts to aircraft carriers at sea — the vital logistics link between shore and ship. Based out of NAS Norfolk, VRC-40's detachments deploy worldwide, and Det 4's Mamba identity adds a venomous twist to the carrier delivery mission.
